School Captains

At Doncaster Primary School, our School Captains serve as essential leaders and role models for their fellow students, embodying the school values of Determination, Pride, and Success while developing their leadership skills. They assist in running both virtual and face to face assemblies, helping to engage the student body. The School Captains also contribute to the “Captains Corner” in the DPS newsletter, sharing important updates and fostering school spirit. They also play a vital role in organising and supporting events both during and after school hours. This includes events such as Information Nights, Prep Transitions Meetings and many more. Their leadership and commitment inspire fellow students, creating a positive and inclusive school environment where everyone feels valued and connected.

Hi my name is Nathaniel, I am a school captain for 2025. Some things I enjoy doing in general are playing basketball, playing video games with my friends and spending time with family and friends. I wanted to become school captain because I wanted to be a leader at DPS before I went into high school. Things I enjoy doing as a school captain so far are, hosting assemblies, people recognising me as a school captain and telling myself that I am a leader of DPS and that I’m proud to be one. I am looking forward to the rest of my last year in primary school and cannot wait for more exciting opportunities to come my way!

Hi my name is Chloe and I am a school captain this year. I am in Grade 6G and enjoy playing the piano, smashing in badminton and gaming with my friends. I became a school captain because it requires me to have lots of responsibility. Most people would fret when it comes to speaking in front of the school in assemblies and to other people. But having been in my first assembly I can assure you that it’s not as scary as you may think – sure, it may be nerve wracking but you get used to it and to be very honest it is kind of fun in a way! I also wanted to be a captain because I feel like becoming a leader is a way to give back for being in the school for almost 7 years. I also wanted the best experience of being one of the older students at DPS before I go back to being a younger kid again in high school. I am extremely grateful for this opportunity and to be one of your captains for this year.

Hi my name is Neli, and I am one of your School Captains for 2025. I have always wanted to be School Captain since prep, looking back at all the captains each year I have always thought about considering myself as one too. Some things about me are that I love playing the piano and have been privileged in making it to level 9 of piano! It was a little difficult but I gave it my best. One of my favourite footy clubs which I adore are the Collingwood! If I ever get the chance to watch their recent plays on TV I always will! One of my favourite things about being one of Doncaster Primary School’s school Captains would definitely be sharing ideas, encouraging other fellow students, cheering people on, handling all the responsibilities and most of all working together and having fun! I am so grateful to be one of your School Captains for 2025!

Hi, my name is Alex and I have been selected as one of the school captains for 2025. I chose to apply for this position because I believe that the conditions for this role suit me. Things I am good at include leadership, responsibility, enthusiasm, and empathy. I work hard to keep the school enjoyable and safe for everyone. I immensely appreciate the Principal and staff for deciding on me to have this position and I will work hard to make Doncaster Primary School the absolute best it can be. Outside of school, I enjoy playing basketball, playing video games and running. I like spending time with my family and going to the city.
