What about Bicycles?
Helpful information and rules for those who cycle to school
Riding your bike to school is a great way to get here quickly and stay fit and healthy at the same time! We strongly encourage the safe and responsible use of bicycles as a means of transit for our students, but ask that you observe a few simple rules:
Bicycles must be walked whilst within the the school grounds. During the day bicycles are kept securely in the area behind Room 17 (Mr. Granger’s room) and Room 31 (Ms. Brownhill’s room). Helmets are required by law in the State of Victoria. Children in Year 2 and under are not encouraged to ride bicycles to school, unless supervised by a parent.
Information about riding to school is available from the Bicycle Network website.
The Great Victorian Bike Ride
This year, for the first time ever, students from Doncaster Primary School are participating in The Great Victorian Bike Ride! The invitation has been extended to students and their families in Levels 4, 5 and 6, and we are looking to take as big a group as possible!
Please contact Mr. Stubberfield or Mr. Loke if you and your family would like to attend!
